France - A Little Behind the Times

In 1992, Sharon Stone, already famous for her work in Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol and Total Recall, "rode" her way to the top with her thrilling performance in Basic Instinct. Since then, she continued her critically acclaimed career in movies such as The Specialist, The Quick and The Dead, Catwoman, and Basic Instinct 2.


Apparently, in 2009, the French have as much adoration for the talented Stone as every American man did in 1992. Either that, or the magazine "Paris Match" had a slow news week. On the recent cover of said magazine, not only did Stone make the cover, (translated as "I'm 50 years old, so there), but the magazine broke the news regarding the war in Afghanistan and that Mohammed is the top chosen name for males in the world. Oh, and yes, it seems that Paris Match has the same budgetary issues as California (couldn't afford a shirt for dear Sharon):
